IAF WORLD FASHION CONVENTION 2017
ABOUT THE FOUNDER
I am passionate about creating positive change in the fashion industry.
As an experienced sustainability and product strategist I have built up a depth of industry experience over 20 years in design management, product development and supply chains in the fashion and textiles industry. I began specialising in sustainability 8 years ago after being confronted by the scale of impact I was creating through my own work in the industry. I launched Make.Good in an effort to help other organisations understand and combat their own impacts - to effectively make good.
My experience is centred in business strategy, product and material sustainability, circular systems and design, impact measurement and reduction strategies, reporting and project management with a focus on environmental sustainability, social impact and corporate social responsibility.
I have been fortunate to work with many leading organisations such as Kowtow, Matteau, Project Just, Mindful Fashion New Zealand, Bally and Content, on projects as diverse as strategic planning, product and sourcing for sustainability, circular design strategies and measuring carbon footprints. I have authored reports, developed Seal of Approval programs and procurement guides, delivered workshops and have spoken at global fashion conferences on responsible production and consumption, and consumer engagement, which has allowed me to build a strong global network of collaborators along the way.
At my core I am a problem solver and creative thinker and I use my innate curiosity and determination to make positive change happen. It's my mission to help shape the industry towards a regenerative future, through the power of community, integrity and imagination.
