ABOUT THE FOUNDER
I am passionate about creating positive change in the fashion industry.
With 20+ years experience in the apparel industry, I have a background in design, product development and supply chain management for both large and small scale fashion brands, and have previously run my own label and retail store for a number of years. For the past 8 years I have added a sustainability lens to my work believing that in order for business to address the social and ecological needs of the planet, we need to be innovative and bold, and change the way the entire system operates. My vision is an industry that protects and is regenerative for our planet, and enhances lives.
My expertise is centred around strategy, product development, design for sustainability, fibres and materials, consumer education and circular systems, and to support this I am a Cradle to Cradle Certified Catalyst. Fundamentally I believe it all starts with design. Design that is fit for purpose, optimised for longevity and circularity.
I launched Make Good to share my knowledge and experience with brands, to help them develop innovative solutions to address their sustainability impacts. I believe business should be a force for good. Purpose and provenance are key to engaging with today's audiences. Citizens are looking to business for leadership and want to support brands that are transparent, addressing sustainability and operating with strong values. So do I. I have worked with startups, retailers and established brands around the world to implement sustainability and CSR from developing strategy to delivering targeted projects.
Make Good collaborates with organisations around the globe from SMEs and startups to large luxury brands, NGOs and industry organisations to educational institutes and fashion councils. We run events educating on sustainability, deliver workshops on topics including designing for circularity, understanding fibres and materials and sustainable sourcing, and I have been honoured to speak at global fashion conferences, universities and local events around the world on topics ranging from consumer engagement to ethics and sustainability in the fashion industry.
